The assignment was to recreate the Lp cover from Donald Fagens album “The Nightfly”.
Donald Fagen used a lot of his own thoughts and experiences while creating the album. The waves flowing out from his face are supposed to mirror Fagens thoughts and experiences used in the process of the album making. Furthermore, they resemble the image of sound waves. I used the nightfly to balance the layout and it appears again on the label of the record.
